OlympicCare Community Portal –  a new way of learning, sharing and communicating


What exactly is the OlympicCare Portal?

The OlympicCare portal is part of our OlympicCare site management and support offering. It resulted from a promise made to Olympic customers at our customer conference, Connect, in 2007. The portal is a channel for Olympic customers (wherever they’re located) to learn, share and communicate with each other, and with us.

The OlympicCare portal is a customer community website – but it’s much more than just a website. It’s also a set of tools and technologies that help you quickly, painlessly access the information, answers and solutions you need in your day-to-day work.

Our aim for the OlympicCare portal is to provide you with a:
  • shared information and document library;
  • problem/issue troubleshooting resource;
  • ‘what’s new’ announcement area;
  • networking space that lets you talk freely and openly with other customers; and a
  • way of simply staying in touch with each other, and with us.
And best of all? If you’re an Olympic customer, the OlympicCare portal is completely FREE to use.


What’s IN the OlympicCare Portal?

To achieve all those aims, the OlympicCare portal uses some exciting Web 2.0 technologies. For example, right now, the site has:
  • A ‘Wiki’: an easily searched and posted-to resource that brings together practical information and articles.
  • A Document Centre: a shared library of documents and pictures that you and other customers may find useful.
  • Blogs: online journals/weblogs from our consultants and managers – containing helpful tips, tricks and ideas (as well as the odd glimpse of behind-the-scenes life at Olympic).
  • Discussion forums: a space for asking questions and holding ongoing discussions with other customers, and us.
  • Brain Dump: like a searchable forum on steroids, Brain Dump conveniently lets you post or e-mail little information snippets you (or others) might find useful later. No need for other applications – just e-mail the brain dump address, and hit send.
  • A Chat function: so you can talk to each other, and our consultants, in real time.
And the OlympicCare community is adding to that content every day. Why not become part of it?


How do you register for the OlympicCare Portal?

If you’re an Olympic customer, joining up is easy (and doesn’t cost a thing).

Just e-mail us on support@olympic.co.nz, tell us you’d like to register for the OlympicCare portal, and tell us your domain name. If you’re not sure of your domain, ask your IT department.
